New London Outing Club – Workshop Information and Registration
Class Fee – $100 due at registration
Topics include, but aren’t limited to -
- Using Your Camera’s Basic Settings
- Introduction to Exposure (ISO, Shutter Speed, Aperture).
- Lens Overview – What Lens Does What? What do Those Numbers Really Mean?
- Tips for Taking Better Photos of Your Kids, Dog, or Really Anyone
This class is geared toward dSLR’s (cameras with interchangeable lenses). To get the most out of your investment in the workshop, you should already own a dSLR (or dSLR-like) camera.
If you’ve been using your camera on “auto” or experimenting with the other modes on your camera, but not sure really what they mean, this class if for you.
If you know the ins/outs of your camera, and consistently get the shots you want, a more advanced class may be a better value for you. This class is for amateur photographers who want to improve their skills, so I won’t be talking about any aspect of my business.
Besides your camera, bring your camera’s manual and pen/paper for taking notes. If you have more than one lens and would like to bring it, it would be helpful, but you do not need more than one lens.In order to create the best learning environment, class size is limited. Class needs a minimum of 6 people to be held.
